Rawiya Kameir is a writer and editor living in London.

She was born in Khartoum and has lived in Abidjan, Cairo, Tunis, Toronto, and New York City. Over the years, Rawiya has picked up three languages, a second citizenship, and a strange familiarity with aéroport Charles de Gaulle’s terminal 2F.

She holds a B.A. in Professional Writing from York University and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia.

Rawiya is a member of that oxymoronic tribe of creatives who hate sharing their work. But she will begrudgingly link to some writing and a few recent projects. Quick! Before she changes her mind.

She likes to be emailed here {rawiyakameir at gmail dot com} and to tweet about rappers, the internet, and her neighborhood here {@rawiya}. And, despite her ambivalence about it as a platform, she tumblrs (tumbls? tumblogs?) here.
